Income Statement
What did the business earn, what did it spend, and was it profitable during the period?
Meet your bookkeeper
My interest in finance started in middle school. Stocks caught my attention, but what really fascinated me was the business behind each ticker: how it earned money, where it spent it, and what the numbers revealed about its future. That curiosity led me to accounting and a lasting love of understanding how businesses work.
Today, I'm a finance major at Kent State University and the founder of Tourville Bookkeeping. I bring that same curiosity, along with hands-on QuickBooks Online work, to the books of trade and home-service businesses.
From HVAC to auto detailing, I know business owners have better things to do than spend their evenings sorting through transactions. I help clean up historical books, reconcile accounts each month, and turn financial records into reports you can actually use. Based in Garrettsville, Ohio, I work with service businesses nationwide.
Schedule a Free ConsultationWhat the numbers tell us
I love reading a company's financial statements together. Each answers a different question, and together they show a much richer picture than any single number can.
What did the business earn, what did it spend, and was it profitable during the period?
What does the business own, what does it owe, and what remains for its owners at a point in time?
Where did cash come from, and where did it go through operations, investing, and financing?
How did the owners' stake in the business change over time?
The most interesting insights come from connecting those reports. A business can show a profit while cash is tight, and a healthy bank balance does not tell the whole story. Clean, reconciled books make those numbers worth relying on.
I bring that lifelong interest in finance to every cleanup and monthly close. My goal is to take the stress of reconciliations off your plate and give you a clearer view of your business, so you can focus on the work you do best.
